In the journey of life, there are moments that define us, moments that challenge us to the core and force us to choose a path. For me, that moment came on October 11, 2016, a day forever etched in my memory. It was the day my father, my greatest supporter and co-visionary, left this world. His sudden departure was not just a personal loss but a turning point in my life.
Back in 1996, at the tender age of 21, I embarked on a career as an employee. Fresh out of college, my heart was set on building my own business. My father was my biggest cheerleader, urging me to pursue my dreams. Yet, without the knowledge or support system to establish a business, it remained a distant wish. I found comfort in the stability of employment, but with the push from my father - together , we started OneNetworx from our humble garage.

Despite the small beginnings, fear held me back from committing fully to the business. The thought of failure loomed large, especially considering the challenges of starting and maintaining a business in the Philippines. As OneNetworx entered its fifth year, growth was slow, and I contemplated closing the company to focus on my executive job. It seemed like the practical choice, a path that I will follow until retirement age.
But then, life threw me a curveball. My father's sudden passing left me at a crossroads. The easy choice was to close OneNetworx, to give up on the dreams we had built together. Yet, deep down, a part of me burned with the passion to continue our vision. It was a time of inner conflict, where realism clashed with dreams.

In those moments of uncertainty, I turned to prayer. I surrendered my fears, doubts, and ambitions to the Lord. I realized that relying solely on my understanding was limiting. Instead, I chose to trust in His greater plan. I let go of control and allowed Him to lead the way.
And you know what happened? The rest, as they say, is history. By surrendering everything to the Lord, I discovered a profound truth: His ways are always what's best for us. As our Creator, He has the power to transform our lives and lead us to a life beyond our wildest dreams. All we need to do is trust Him. Today, OneNetworx stands as a testament to faith and perseverance. It's a thriving company that not only fulfills my dreams but also serves as a beacon of hope for others. Through the ups and downs, I learned that when we let go and let God, miracles happen. So, if you find yourself at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take, remember this: surrender your fears, trust in His plan, and let Him guide you. For in His hands, our lives become the masterpiece they were always meant to be.

However, these achievements can sometimes lead to a detrimental mindset among employees, particularly in sales roles, where past success becomes a ticket to complacency. The Arrogance of Success It's a common scenario: an employee hits their sales targets or receives accolades for their outstanding performance. The initial euphoria of success can quickly transform into arrogance. This attitude can manifest as a sense of entitlement, where the employee believes their past achievements exempt them from maintaining high performance levels. This mindset is not only detrimental to personal growth but can also affect team morale and overall productivity. Complacency Across Roles While this issue is prevalent among sales employees, it is not exclusive to them. Employees in non-sales positions can also fall into the trap of resting on their laurels. The comfort of past success can lead to a lax attitude, where the drive for innovation and improvement diminishes. This complacency can hinder an organization's progress, as employees become resistant to change and new challenges. At OneNetworx, we have observed similar patterns. Employees who once thrived on the thrill of achievement began to falter when they allowed their past successes to overshadow their current responsibilities. This behavior was not limited to any specific department; it was a cultural challenge that we needed to address. Success should be a stepping stone, not a stumbling block. From a point of view of an employer, we should strive to create an environment where past achievements are celebrated, but not at the expense of future growth. By addressing the pitfalls of complacency, we can ensure that our teams remain dynamic, innovative, and ready to tackle new challenges.  One day, your mom won’t call you anymore, and you’ll find yourself reaching for the phone, waiting for a ringtone that never comes. It’s in that silence that you’ll realize how her voice was the soundtrack of your life—guiding you through every joy, every heartbreak, and every mundane moment in between.
For me, this sentiment resonates deeply. My mom was not only a cherished part of my life but also an integral part of OneNetworx. An educator by profession, she was the one who encouraged me to encourage me to set-up the Sales Associate Certification Program, a comprehensive training initiative for aspiring sales associates at OneNetworx. Her passion for teaching and nurturing talent helped shape the company into what it is today. She passed away a few years ago, yet her influence and love continue to inspire me every day. But the food will taste different, not because of the recipe, but because of the love that used to fill the room. You’ll long for those late-night talks, where her words wrapped around you like a blanket, offering comfort in a world that often feels cold. One day, you’ll look at the empty chair where she used to sit, and the house will feel too big, too quiet. The little things she did, the way she folded your laundry just right, or the scent of her perfume lingering in the hallway, will become memories you cling to—fragments of a love that shaped who you are. One day, your mom won’t call you anymore, and you’ll realize that it was never about the calls, but about the connection that ran deeper than words, a bond that time can’t erase. And in those moments of stillness, you’ll hold onto the lessons she taught you, the strength she passed on, and the love that will forever live in your heart.
